Am I alone in thinking Myles Garrett could very well be fools gold?

I feel like this is a popular sentiment on this board, but I do not share it.

He is an incredibly gifted pass rusher. 6'5 260 pounds, will run in the 4.5-4.6 range. His knock is his run defense. It doesn't help him that A&M overall has a poor run defense, so he doesn't get a lot of help in that regard and is exposed more, especially in a run heavy league. But as a pass rusher he is elite and special, which will pay huge dividends in the NFL.

This has been true, especially early in his career. But you can't knock an 18 year old for being little early in his career. I've heard his rush defense has come a long way, and the stronger and more developed he gets, I think the sky is the limit for this kid. Julius Peppers 2.0

Agreed. Also, he hasn't had the stability at DC that would allow him to really showcase his ability. Chavis is good, but it seems like he's cobbling the defense together for immediate results and using Garrett almost as a wildcard until he can get a few classes under his belt. Obviously Garrett will be long gone by then, of course.
