Cops can look into your cooler and pour out your beer if it is left alone. Therefore, the lock will prevent them of doing that.
And the cops don't get it, then drunk college kids will. You need a lock for your cooler in the Grove.

Thanks so much! We are late 30's so not super young!
Got another question, I was greek in college and would love to see greek row. Is that close to the Grove area?

Like I said, they 99% of the time don't care and won't mess with you. There's a few horror stories out there you'll hear from time to time, but you usually got to be an absolute a-hole for them to say anything to you.
We tailgated next to the Phi Delt tent last year, and the actives bought like $600 worth of booze. Told the pledges not to leave the tent. Well all the pledges were dumbasses, they all left, and thus the cops started pouring out all the booze. That would have instilled the fear of god in me back in the day.

Not really, but it's not far. Nothing on campus is really over a 5-10 minute walk

A new bar, Rowdy Rebels, just opened where Irie/Fins used to be too. It's kinda clubby/douchey, but I can see it getting pretty fun on gameday weekends.

The Grove is overrated. Way to much effort for what you get. I'll probably go by Wendy's then head to VHS.

State? That's really the only school we don't give a damn about impressing in some way.
LSU we may do some tongue and cheek corndogs or "Geaux to Hell LSU", but I think we're generally polite enough to yall. Plus we want to at least do good enough to be welcome at yalls tailgate.

I'm hijacking this so as not to bump tOT thread or start a new topic.
I got my email today from OM saying it's time to go on and select the seats I want for my season tickets. However, they said I can't go on until June 7th at 11am at the earliest.
Obviously, I know this is because all the people with priority (ie, just about everyone) is given a chance to go first. My question is...a month is a long time so would there be a chance that they all run out before it's my turn?
I don't care if the seats aren't super badass or anything, I just want to know if I am guarnateed to at least get the tix or if there's a chance I could get nothing.

I think we are basically planning to stay in Oxford. Let me ask you this...if the game is a 2:30 start what time does the Grove start to get fun? 8am?
Posted on 5/5/16 at 2:26 pm to HuskerFan75
I wouldn't go at 8 haha. Probably like the 10-11 timeframe is when it should really start to fill up. Should be in full swing by noon at the latest.

I have no idea as far as after priority goes. I would bet you whatever your season tickets you have cost you that you will have a seat somewhere. And there aren't any bad seats

that's my thing though. I have 0 priority and didn't make a contribution. All I did was request 2 season tix and my card was charged. So as of right now I'm good to go...I just didn't know if there would ever be a scenario where all the season tix go before my turn so then they'd refund my card back.
I guess my ultimate question boils down to...if I've made it this far am I guarnateed to get tix no matter what or is there a chance I could be out of luck and my card refunded.

When I was a kid LSU fans were always terrible to Olemiss fans in BR. Much different these days I rarely see anybody giving anyone any crap in BR. I have been accosted in Oxford a few times though haha, nothing serious though.

Fair enough haha. I've never much been into drinking bourbon before 9. Bloody Mary's are another thing altogether though.

Unless College Gameday is there, probably not. I'd say it starts bumping at around 11:00. If it's a 2:30 game, I'm there by 9:30 usually though.

Awesome! Is there a Greek area for tailgating or is that just part of the Grove too?
Posted on 5/6/16 at 10:46 am to HuskerFan75
Part of the Grove. There really isn't much going on at the houses on gamedays.
