I find it laughable how some folks from South GA like to find fault with Atlanta. It's like a child calling it's mother a whore for having the sex that created the child. Yet they don't have any hesitation to come to Atlanta to shop, or to a show or concert,or museum, or to see a ball game, or to eat at a decent restaurant, etc, etc, etc. And when they do they always brag to their friends that they came. I've lived and worked in both places as have a lot of my HS classmates. Lots of 'em come here. Ain't many going down there.
The state of Georgia would be a lot like Mississippi without Atlanta. I know you have some kind of beef with the city for some reason. Maybe your wife left you and ran off to Atlanta. But at least 5.7 million people, and growing, disagree with you.

It’s a natural reaction for the sons and daughters of yankee transplants to feel out of place and unwanted. I take comfort in your post. Because once this type of typical ATL arrogance is finally gone…. we’ll truly be in some deep shite. And I honestly hope I don’t live to see the day.
The part that drives me crazy right now though….is how you latte-drinking $30 dollar haircut frauds in traffic smog ville try to co-opt and bask in the glow from the “acceptable” parts of Southern culture though…while simultaneously shitting on the ones who created it……….and of which you know exactly jack fricking shite about.
