In the years since Malzahn has gotten to Auburn they have tested Bama in certain ways. This years game was even close into the 4th quarter when Auburn had no business being in it. So to a degree Saban does have some problems with Malzahn, but he still gets the job done most of the time

The fact that 2 games that Alabama won by 11 pts and 16 pts are considered some sort of evidence as a problem with another team/coach is just a testament to Saban's dominance.

But those Auburn teams weren't good, so in some ways it is. I'm not saying Cowherd was right or not, I'm just saying Auburn has played Bama tough even when outgunned badly with Malzahn. The 4th quarter this year I think was a 6 point type game (or maybe late in the 3rd I don't recall but i know 2nd half).
