In the years since Malzahn has gotten to Auburn they have tested Bama in certain ways. This years game was even close into the 4th quarter when Auburn had no business being in it. So to a degree Saban does have some problems with Malzahn, but he still gets the job done most of the time

And conventional wisdom says 'No QB' should lead to problems. It has for Saban's teams as well, but oftentimes their overall talent advantage still wins them the day

The fact that 2 games that Alabama won by 11 pts and 16 pts are considered some sort of evidence as a problem with another team/coach is just a testament to Saban's dominance.
