Uh, yeah it is, unless you think the playoff isn't undisputed either.
Everyone in the country agreed to abide by the BCS system wherein #1 and #2 at the end of the season woudl play each other for the national title. That was the rules. There were many ingredients to make the BCS pie (coaches poll, AP poll, a series of computer formulas) but the end result was matchign 1 vs 2. The AP made up 33% of the BCS formula (even less if you assign a consistent value to each of the computers).
USC won 1 national title, and it was in 2004.

Arguments like this are utterly absurd. You may not have liked the BCS...so what. The fact is that every single one of the 128 teams in the football bowl subdivison were members of the BCS and by virtue of their membership agreed to be a part of the system that chose to crown its champion in that way. Every. Single. Team
