Dude did you not see the difference in the 2014 and 2015 Alabama defense? Why was they so much better? (I'm not saying LSU's defense will be as good as last years Alabama defense.)

Returning starters and quality experienced depth.

Duuuude. Did you not read my previous comment about returning experience being *more valuable* when there isn't a big change in coaching. 2014 and 2015 Bama still had Nick Saban (defensive minded HC) and Kirby Smart (DC) - so no wholesale changes in philosophy, terminology, scheme, etc... Or in other words, the learning from the previous season was cumulative. With a change at DC, it doesn't make that experience "worthless", but I do think it makes it "worth less". Similarly for UGA this year, while we've got a fair amount of returning talent on D, I have a sneaking suspicion that the defense may regress a bit, at least early on.

LSU fans on this forum are great. I've explicitly stated that I actually think you'll have a strong team this year, and you want to nitpick. It's not like I said you'd lose to Moo State or anything. So sensitive.
