I loved our rivalry with Auburn. We had some great games in the 80's and 90's.

UGA is just scared that Auburn/Florida would turn into a larger rivalry than the Cocktail Party.
Would love to go to The Swamp every other year!

I've quite enjoyed the games in the 21st century.

Actually we had great games in the 1960s and 70s. One I remember is when Spurrier led team beat them in 1964 at home with a Dick Kirk 88 yd interception (from memory)...Kirk also played RB in those days of platoon football...the year before he ran the ball about 40 yds to help us upset 3rd ranked Bama 10-6. In 1965 we went to the loveliest village on the plains and got upset 28-17 in a misleading score...AU score late in the game off a desperation interception or fumble trick play after AU had a kid Alex Bowden come off the bench and throw about a 60 yd + pass to take lead late 21-17. We could never win at AU and they rarely beat us at Florida Field.
The infamous library fire game at AU when the Gators I believe were ranked # 1 in 2001, Spurrier's last year as HC...AU was a decided underdog and game was on ESPN at night....It was very very windy that night..steady winds of 30mph with gust up to 45 or 50 mph. AU brought their defense and we were without RB Ernest Graham who was injured and Rex Grossman kept firing long downfield ducks into the wind and the AU defense looked like punt returners catching those picks. Spurrier refused to stop throwing long and it cost us. On TV you could see the fire engulfing the library and Spurrier later quipped that they lost three books and two of them hadnt even been colored in yet.
