They need an overhang for shade in the worst way. I was there in 2012 for the duper regionals when the gators hosted Mississippi state. All 3 games were noon first pitch and it was mid 90's the metal bleachers were so dang hot

I was there for those games as well. Great series, by the way.
And, yes, they were as hot as any game I've been to at McKethan. Just brutal. As another poster mentioned, upgrades are coming. How extensive is the question. It really needs a lot of work.

Overhangs were looked into. It was determined that building them would be of little to no help with shading the stadium in its current orientation.
I'd just go for air conditioned seats at this point or sell lots of beer.
