The only reason I am even asking is because of Chad Kelley. The kid is a baller and is by far the best returning starting QB in the West.

I know they lost a bunch of their high profile players but have recruited pretty well. They will not have the overall talent not depth as Bama and even L5u. But you can't underestimate a senior QB as talented as CK.

If anyone besides Bama were to win it I'd be fine with Ole Miss finally making it to Atl

They had their chance last year. They have some critical pieces missing this year. But they could be very good. I think LSU is gonna be a monster this year.

If the name on their helmets wasn't Ole Miss, they would.

Kelly is the best returning QB in the West and maybe the league but losing Treadwell will hurt a lot. His YAC was insane, he broke lots of tackles. Also Ole Miss has failed to handle the pressure of being in the top 5 the last two years. They have a shot at the West though.

I'd say 50 percent chance or better, depending on how good LSU is. They are probably the only team that has a chance of stopping us. We have a really good chance of going undefeated.

If they can't win the SECw in a year that they not only beat LSU, but also Alabama, then they never will.

Yes.
They will have close to the talent and depth of LSU and........ ala-H.DepotGumpDump.
But you can't underestimate a senior QB as talented as CK.

Schedule is tough. I say we won't, but we are gonna be in the conversation at least for the foreseeable future, which is something I never thought I would say 4 or 5 years ago.

OP said it when you can't underestimate the importance of great quarterback play. He gives them a legitimate shot.

I think they will be in the hunt at the end of the year but fall short again. However, I think with this incoming class the will finally get over the hump in 2-3 years and even win the SEC.

No, there will be a couple of bounces against them like 4th & 25 last year. There best chance was last year and some of those key players that made last year a possibility are gone to the NFL.

They lost the bulk of their defense, the best players on their offense, and still don't have linebackers. Chad Kelly would have to turn into Tom Brady.

If they beat Bama in September, they will win the SEC and I think play for a national title.

Losing Treadwell and RN will not be as big as many here would like to believe. They are LOADED at WR and Breeland Speaks is better than RN because he actually gives effort.

Their program has gotten better each year under Freeze, most recently winning the Sugar Bowl.

I would put them right behind Bama as far as chance to win the SEC...and even the national title. Top to bottom, their roster is better than all but Bama and LSU. However, LSU has no direction from their head coach and no QB. Those are terminal issues that LSU will not overcome.
