The good news is that it doesn't take much for any program to move up the ranks quickly.

In 1998, Florida was arguably the worst program all-time in basketball. At that point, they had just 3 NCAA Tournament appearances and one trip to the Sweet 16.

Fast-forward just 18 years later, and we're discussing whether they or Arkansas are the 2nd best SEC basketball program. No one will ever touch Kentucky. They are just too far out front. But the separation between #2 Arkansas and #14 South Carolina is probably a smaller gap than the separation between #1 Kentucky and #2 Arkansas.

If Avery gets his team to a handful of NCAA Tournaments, Bama can pass Missouri and get close to LSU in a very short period of time.

Same with Georgia. It honestly would not take that much for us to get to where Alabama and Tennessee are now.
