Kyle is a good, smart dude, but he is very clearly anti-Alabama. I don't know if it is being in Birmingham, having a kid at Auburn if I remember correctly, or what, but it is there.
Still, he's a solid dude all around and is generally pretty good at posting good stuff. I don't understand the Alabama/Tuscaloosa/academic/athletic stuff though. It might not be hate, maybe it is just an incredibly poor opinion of the school for some reason.

Likewise I generally enjoy your posts. You are clearly more knowledgeable than the average poster on this board, and immeasurably more knowledgeable than your average bama fan.
But I know this: If Bama had the NCAA tournament success of a program like Arkansas... or Florida... not a single bama fan would be talking about wins, or conference tournament titles, or any other metric. All evidence would be from your NCAA Tournament success.
But because that success is just not there for Bama, you and all these other Bama fans are twisting yourselves to try to convince the average fan out there to somehow have a higher regard for bama basketball and baseball than what exists.
I have no problem with the University of Alabama. But after living in this state for years I see a personality trait that exists in most Alabama fans that I would consider to be a flaw. It's odd to me. Alabama fans have had so much football success and have so much to be proud of when it comes to their team and their University. But for some odd reason, the need exists for most Alabama fans to hear it from opposing fans. Its as if a lack of praise from others might send them into a dark place.
I don't get it. Not all bama fans are this way, but this type of behavior is far more common than among other fan bases I've been surrounded by.
This entire thread is a case study.
