An issue for us is that the O'Dome is very much a multi-purpose building. We don't need two arenas, so we'd have to build a new swimming & diving facility, a new gymnastics practice facility, etc. It would take a while

A further issue...please don't take this the wrong way...is how UF uses the land it has available.

I don't know if you've visited the LSU campus, but both campuses are about the same size in terms of acreage...about 2,000 acres.

The difference is, LSU lakes are on the east side of the campus, while UF's lake is smack dab in the center of campus.

UF also tends towards lots of smaller class room buildings, whereas LSU builds larger, taller buildings.

The end result is that there is more open space on the LSU campus. It feels larger. And there's more usable space for athletics as a result.

UF would free up a lot of space on their campus if the AD would move the golf course off campus and develop the existing course.

Again, just my Civ City expertise at work.
