I think everyone was pretty surprised at A&M getting seeded over Kentucky after today, but it seems to make sense after breaking down both teams record versus NCAA tournament teams:
Texas A&M (26-8) - 3 Seed
Record vs NCAA Tournament teams: 8-3
1-0 Iowa St (4 Seed)
1-1 Kentucky (4 Seed)
1-0 Baylor (5 Seed)
1-0 Texas (6 Seed)
0-1 Syracuse (10 Seed)
1-0 Gonzaga (11 Seed)
1-1 Vandy (11 Seed)
1-0 UNC Asheville (15 Seed)
1-0 Florida Gulf Coast (16 Seed)
Kentucky (26-8) - 4 Seed
Record vs NCAA Tournament teams: 3-3
0-1 Kansas (1 Seed)
1-1 Texas A&M (3 Seed)
1-0 Duke (4 Seed)
1-1 Vandy (11 Seed)

Kentucky lost to both Kansas and A&M in OT on their courts.

Don't know how anyone in their right mind could pick Indiana over UK or Texas over A&M (when A&M beat them by 11 without Jalen Jones)

Seeding still doesn't make sense.
