Cannon, Cassanova

I would also add Kevin Faulk. 4 year starter, and held the record for all-purpose yards, in the SEC, when he was done.

First national recruit in a long time to stay home. He changed the instate recruiting vibe of LSU.

Realizing that Vanderbilt has a pretty bad football history picking Donovan Sheffield is ignorant as hell. He's probably the 4th or 5th best in state prospect Vanderbilt has signed in the last 5 years first of all. Secondly he barely has begun his career and had a handful of tackles as a true freshmen last season...

Vanderbilt's clear pick for this would be Nashville native and QB Bill Wade. He was SEC MVP, 2nd team All American & the no.1 pick in the 1952 NFL draft.

This is the answer. One could argue he's the most important recruit in LSU history.
