Have any of you other fan bases had a team just flat out quit like this LSU BBall team?

im not talking about a team that played an easy schedule in the beginning of the year and fell apart when the competition stepped up (ala LSU football 2015). I mean a team that showed the ability to beat/compete with good teams (Kentucky, A&M, and Oklahoma) and then just quit.

Ya, the year we had John L Smith, we had some talent still on that team but they just quit after the UL monroe game. I don't really blame them after listening to John L Smith speak to media.

Unfortunately most of us have bad memories of teams that packed it in early during a season. Some of them really early in a season. Its a shame it happened to this LSU team because of the tremendous talent they have. It just happens sometimes and you can usually lay the blame at the coach's feet.

2012 Auburn clearly quit big time on Chiz after the first few games.

They weren't great or anything, but they sure as hell weren't a 3-9 / 0-8 team.

The crazy part is they overcame several critical injuries and administrative games missed by starters and rotational players,(24 games missed so far)to be tied for the top and only a game out prior to last night. Yet the evidence is mounting, as you stated, that there is a disciplinary problem within this team. They especially seemed to wilt when Hornsby is unable to go. That kid's quite a leader and it's a shame he got hit with the injury bug in his final season. Ben Simmons is only 19 and really needs someone like Hornsby to lend leadership. Quarterman is by far the biggest disappointment. He's been off both in attitude and effort from what was a fine Sophomore campaign.

2007 Bama football team. You felt it change when J.P. Wilson threw that pick six in State's endzone that was returned 100 yards. They would have beaten La Monroe and possibly even Auburn had that not happened.

Our players may have quit on Houston Nutt.

Of course he probably deserved it.

Johnny Jones has to be one of the worst coaches in the country. He's crapped away so much talent.

2011 and 2012 UT football. Johnny Jones looks like the General or Bear compared to Dooley.
