I want to see how this helps you. You sit down for the interview.
"I'm a hard worker, prompt and organized. Here are my references and work history. I have a BS in Business Management from Auburn University."
"Thanks. We'll let you know."
Then just as you're about to close the door... "Oh and there's just one more thing. This publication lists Auburn as a marginally better school than Alabama."
"frick me, why didn't you say so? You're hired!"

This is sort of how my current jobs interview went actually. Granted the VP I was interviewing with was an Auburn grad.
