Yup.
The movie NAILS what the West Texas Friday Night Lights experience is all about, from the fricked up priorities to the hope instilled in each generation. As someone who went to high school in Odessa Texas it rocked me to my core to see it all on a big screen, with that Explosions in the Sky soundtrack.
The TV show is just fanfare to the sport of football. It does nothing to analyze or critique that culture. It is Glee for football fans.
