Best Trent has looked in a couple years IMO. He looks like he is back to his college weight.

It can be done.
We'll see this fall.

I mean the guy had 1,700 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns his final year at Bama and ran for over 1,000 yards as a rookie with the Browns. He didn't just forget how to play football? Would love to see a great comeback.

He rushed for a little under 1000 yards his rookie year. 3.6 ypc or around there. At best he looked mediocre as a pro.

He had less than 1000 yards. And it was on 700 carries He almost never looked good in the NFL.

I'd love to see him make it, but there have been a bunch of experienced RBs that have been cut lately...gonna be crowded.

I will never understand what happened with him. He just didn't look like this guy as a pro:

Yeah. If you need proof, consider the fact that he was traded 2 games into his second year by a team who drafted him #3 overall.

Kinda feel bad for ole 21 on that play. As I remember, he had TR in the backfield but got missed him. Then he hustles all the way down field, only to end up on a highlight when he's gassed.
That being said, frick Ole Miss.

I really wish this would happen, but just don't see it. He never had good vision, but was just way faster and stronger than almost all tacklers in college football. Couple that with the outstanding O-Lines he had, and it was a recipe for success. That being said, I'll always be rooting for him, and will always love him for what he did at Bama.

Looking back at his college days, and I think it's pretty obvious that his skills could have problems in the NFL. Obviously, none of us saw it coming.
His lines were amazing. Which neutralized the worst part of his game. In college, he was fast enough and had good enough moves to make guys miss when he had space. That, plus his physicality, helped him shine. But I don't remember him having much wiggle when holes weren't there. Think Lacy and Yeldon. They could juke defenders in a phone booth while still moving upfield. Those are needed skills in the NFL.

You guys might be right, but I think he got worse when he went to the NFL. He just looked sluggish. And I don't think it was only because the competition is better.

I don't think any back on the league would have rushed for more than than 3.6 ypc at Cleveland that season. They had a terrible oline and no passing game. I think he was on track his first year, and then being traded messed up his mind and attitude towards the game

He looks like he's lost 20 pounds so lets see if someone will give him an opportunity.
Thats what he says at the end of the interview "all I need is for someone to give me an opportunity."
With him being back to his college weight I cant imagine someone not inviting him to camp.
I hope the Broncos give him a look.

He had a couple of supposedly minor knee operations after his rookie year. I tend to think that those contributed more to his decline than anyone cares to acknowledge. Looked as though he put on some serious pounds as well which couldn't have helped.
Watch his rookie year highlights and he looks like a completely different back from the next couple of years.

Did anyone actually listen to the interview ?
He comes right out and says he had to play with broken ribs. Not bruised ribs, but BROKEN ribs. So he had the knee operations, and was not able to train the way he was used to then he broke his ribs.
He said he played through it to prove how tough he was, and didnt want to let his team down. What he needed to do was tell everyone to get fricked until he was healthy again.
He's healthy, lost weight, and is hungry to compete. I bet someone invites him to camp.

It looked to me like he just started thinking too much instead of just trusting his blocks and hitting the hole like he could do behind the lines he had at Bama.
