Just noticed Arkansas is 12-14 and coming off a loss to Auburn.

What's the feeling here? Just a down year or is he tanking?

He's 98-62 with one tourney appearance in 5 seasons, he should be in trouble

He's in more trouble than Kim Anderson.

He should be but it sounds like next year is his make or break year.

Arkansas and Anderson seemed like the perfect fit. What happened Arky fans? Did he get lazy?

I doubt that, but it's looking like Kim will get one more year

With the off the court issues they had leading up to this season and losing both Portis and Qualls, he may get some leeway. If it starts into next season looking like it's a similar story, I imagine the seat gets awfully hot.

I said this before but he gets a little bit of a pass in my eyes this year. He lost a lot and tbh Qualls should have never left. He would of been huge for this team. Three players getting arrested didn't help either. He is bringing in three great JC players next year that should be able to come in immediately and contribute. This team is about where many expected it to be, not a ton of talent. (which he holds some blame for) I think he is gone without a tourney bid next year. He has also missed on to many Arkansas kids, Monk & Allen most recently.

I agree, he needs to make the tourney next year. Losing out on the big instate talent doesn't help his cause.

Losing MM to an SEC rival must have been a bitter pill. Also I'm giving CMA a pass this year due to whats already been mentioned but next season needs to be special to keep the home fires a burnin'. WPS

Hopefully he won't decide to quit recruiting for a year and then leave

MA has been TOO loyal to his assistants both here and in his past, and one or more of them absolutely cannot recruit. We shouldn't be losing out on the top talent in our state on a regular basis, and we really shouldn't have this much trouble even recruiting middle-of-the-pack SEC talent. At the beginning of this season we had very low expectations because of the roster turnover and lack of experience remaining on this team, and Anderson was caught with his pants down when both Portis and Qualls chose to leave. We were left with a roster that maybe has 2-3 SEC caliber players at best, with ZERO depth. He's getting a pass this year because of the above reasons and the arrests before the season, and the fact that this team is even competitive shows his true coaching ability.

He's not a good coach

he runs a gimmick system, and if it doesn't work, he's f'in clueless on what to do next.

When teams can get past his press, it's layup city. Kansas abused his system, it was layup and dunk city.

It's never been "40 minutes of hell", it's always "40 minutes of what the f"?

Nah, he is still a good coach but his recruiting has really been lacking. He has adjusted a little to the fact that you can't press like before. His style can still work with the right players but it is much more difficult. With a few better role players Arkansas could of made a deep run into the tourney, it wasn't his coaching that stopped us last year. The 40 minutes of hell we saw in the 90s will never be a thing anymore sadly because of the way the game is called.

hogs would be awesome this year if portis, qualls and K allen were all on the team. Than add monk for next year and its cut down the nets. Not sure what happened.

MA needs to understand he isn't Nolan and he doesn't have the horses to play Nolan's type of ball!! We trapped and double teamed all night while Auburn passed it to a open shooter and rained 3's down on Bud Walton all night!! MA refused to adjust!!! Last night was painful to watch. MA is a horrible recruiter and his assistants are even worse. Time to clean house!!!!

I thought for sure when Arkansas hired him they would be going deep in the tournament like they did with Richardson. That's who he learned coaching from. He did well at UAB. I wanted Mike Anderson before we hired Grant. I don't know why he can't get Arky going.

Anderson refuses to adapt the game plan to the players, the opponent, or even the situation.

i feel like we did a better job of that earlier in the season- like we were a smarter team then the last how many ever games we've regressed into the same old shite.

i think ma gets another year but after that if we suck then it's pack that suitcase mike.
