The victim blaming done by UT fans is sickening

Blaming women who were assaulted and raped of lying or money grabbing when it's clear as day this is a cultural issue at UTK.
WTF

There were plenty of sensible Vols who wanted to get all the facts.
ANYONE who victim blames should take themselves out the gene pool. Zero excuse for this BS.

have zero sympathy for the so-called "victims" after the way this has been sensationalized by their lawyers in the media. This is clearly nothing more than a well-orchestrated money grab. Find the deep pockets and stop at nothing to get the big payday. The Peyton incident, such as it was, has absolutely NOTHING to do with anything that has happened in recent years and they know it. This is how a scam works. It's how criminals do business. And to me there's no practical difference between these lawyers and common criminals.

Everything now has to be considered the most outrageous thing that has ever happened.
Many guys who used to hang out with other teenage boys in a fraternity or sleepover may have woken up with some guys balls in their face to a room full of laughter and the victim yelling out ...jeez you guys are ****ing jerks....more laughter...and then back to normal life......not saying it should happen....and certainly not to a woman....
...but, this is not rape, and this is not an unwelcome penis being forced into someone's mouth...its balls in the face.
Tea bagging is a very immature act that can rise to the level of "sexual attack" depending upon the exact specifics and circumstances.....who knows what Peyton actually did 20 years ago .....but this situation was settled then...for it to be drug out again now to help others with their lawsuit is not fair to Peyton...imho.

Whether that's a fact, or not, it doesn't mean that's what happened in Peyton's situation. Peyton Manning shouldn't have to go through the rest of his life carrying the label of "sex offender" if he is not guilty. As I understand it, the so-called "victim" didn't come forward until long after this incident supposedly occurred. She was looking for money and it's not the only time she's done so. That, alone, is enough to make me suspicious of her version of what happened.

It sounds like PM was in the wrong, though it certainly wouldn't be the first time a young man acted inappropriately.
Here's my Q: if it was instead a walk-on QB at UT whose time at UT was minimal, would this issue be in the paper today?
If the answer is NO, then this is an orchestrated attack to obtain money and not a suit aimed at the betterment of work conditions at UT or any school.

This was perfectly orchestrated by plaintiffs' attorney. The fact that manning and the Broncos went to the super bowl and won just increased the spectacle. This time period is severe wasteland in sports talk. There is NOTHING to talk/write about. There are six weeks until March madness giving any new story, or scandal, unrivaled air time.

By the time the season rolls around this will all be old news. Just be glad this shizz didn't come out before signing day

They saw the recent "settlement" UT handed out and it encouraged more of the same. Just looking for a quick payday

I'm honestly not worried about this. This is sour grapes or people just trying to make a quick buck. The fact that none of the accused have been criminally convicted is the key here. Anyone with common sense can see that UT hasn't been covering anything up, because if they had they sure as heck wouldn't have suspended AJ and kept him away from the team.

Not this guy. Butch should've punched out Crowder and his damn press feeding daddy when he had the chance.

Here's where I stand on the 3 separate cases:
Nothing's been proven about the 2014 case, so I'm withholding judgment there until more information comes out. But from the investigations that have been done, there is currently insufficient evidence to prove the accused guilty. As it is stated in our Constitution, I will assume them innocent unless proof arises to the contrary.
The story of the accuser in the Peyton case has been dramatically twisted and exaggerated from what it initially was in 1996. Also the reporter on that article has been shown to be an unreliable and untrustworthy piece of shite. Peyton mooned the trainer but didn't stick his arse or balls in her face. It's a money grab, simple as that. The plaintiff has a history of trying to pull this shite against famous people, because she's a gold-digging whore looking for cheap ways to get cash instead of working for it like the rest of us. She already sued about this in 2003, (and her claim was only that he mooned her; the story has been conveniently changed since then) and got a $300K settlement, like seeing a man's arse honestly damaged her that much. This whole case is utterly ridiculous and ought to be a complete and total non-issue.
I won't defend the most recent case. The Crowder case that just broke is fricking despicable and totally uncalled for. He has been officially charged and convicted of 5 felonies, and rightfully so. No excuses, and he should be locked up in jail.

I figured no one would be dumb enough to defend Crowder if what has been reported is true

If it is indeed true that he has been arrested and convicted for this, you'll get no defense from me.

Where have you seen anyone defending Crowder?
Posted on 2/17/16 at 1:39 am to Piscinin
I think his response was to me saying I wasn't defending Crowder

You're a fricking idiot if you're actually citing VN as any type of representation of UTK. Majority of VN posters never attended the school.
Realize your entire shtick involves trying to troll, but this is no different than someone linking posts from gatorcountry.

Lol so what is the point of this post if all he's referencing is the Manning story when there is enough evidence available to possibly draw the conclusion that Naughright fabricated her story to extort the university?
Posted on 2/17/16 at 2:56 am to Piscinin
It seems that she did. And if so, the blame is obviously on her and not Peyton. It's not "victim blaming" but extortionist blaming. Peyton, UT, and their reputations are the real victims here.

They should be sanctioned Penn State style by the NCAA and SEC.
This is just too fricking much.
