Quote straight from an auburn fan
"Don't bother trying to use logic with most Auburn fans. One thing I have learned being an Auburn fan for almost 30 years is that Auburn fans are loyal to a fault. Any logical person and an outsider would clearly see there are systemic issues in the football program. However, most Auburn fans are too loyal to see the issues. It's the battered wife syndrome. Auburn fans are in denial that our program is being ran into the ground, and will support Auburn football no matter what. Again, loyal to a fault. So, no need to go into detail about what's going on. Auburn fans will deny anything is bad...."

Hey dumbass, if you looked at our team board (don't pretend you haven't) you'll see there are quite a few pissed off fellas among us.
As for me? I don't know what to think. I'm not all doom and gloom yet, but I'm also not fricking thrilled right now.

Maybe UAB will lend a hand to the Aubs in their time of need.

The Family is reeling right now. It's getting hard to watch.

Most of the AU fans on this forum aren't the fans that's referring to.

It's not battered wife syndrome. It's actually one thing they can legitimately blame on Bama. They're "loyal to a fault" because they live in Bama's shadow and don't want to show the slightest cracks in their unwavering support because they see it as leaving themselves vulnerable.
There's a reason LSU and Arkansas -- as seen, for example, on TigerDroppings and Hogville -- are the two SEC fanbases that struggle the most with negativity from a sizable portion of their fans. Since they don't have in-state competion, they don't feel as obligated to maintain the facade.
