Guess he wasn't up for the challenge. Pussy. Not really concerned anymore. We'll be alright.

Sounds pretty pathetic on Herman's part, IMO.

What's up with the Georgia fans posting old shite today? At least this is slightly more recent than the Peyton crap.

If that's the reason he didn't take the job why would anybody want him? Sounds like a pussy.

Hey, don't sleep on the Citadel and the brand of ball they play in South Carolina.

They were Southern co-champs and took out Coastal Carolina in the FCS playoffs before succumbing to a gritty Charleston Southern.

Herman probably felt the pecking order to state supremacy was shorter in Texas than SC.

I reported that in our coaching search thread the day after it happened ... it's Germans.

Things worked out for the best IMHO.

We didn't want him knowing that scared him off. He's a pussy.

Should be interesting to see what that fricktard Jesus Queertana says now that everything I reported at the time has proved to be correct ... not that it really matters in all honesty. But what a prick JQ was stalking us in our forum back then.

Didn't read the article but I really doubt this is true. No way does one game completely change a coach's opinion about a program.

We'll see about Herman. He had a great year at Houston and there's no doubt about it. But it was just one year, those kind of spur the moment hires are dangerous (see Darrin Horn)

Also, there seems to be the idea floating around that he is waiting for the Texas job to open up. I have no idea if there is any truth to that or it's just BS but it sounds right so people accept it, but if it is the case that wouldn't be good for us either. If Herman had come here, and then Strong was fired in 1-3 years, and Herman jumped ship that really would put our program back even further.

Sounds like he's a pussy if he's afraid to take the USC job because they pulled a Clemson vs the Citadel.

They lost to the Citadel but also beat UNC who promptly went the rest of the season undefeated until losing a nail biter to Clemson in the ACCCG.

Just as well. There will be a vacancy in Austin by mid-season, and Herman would leave to go there anyway.

I know for a fact Rich Rodriguez was not offered the job at South Carolina. I don't claim to be too connected, but this I know for sure.

( I know people on here want believe me )

Herman has already said he won't leave Houston unless it's for s job at a top 10 program. Why go 7-5 or 8-4 at a middling power 5 program as opposed to 10-2 or better at a non power 5 program.

Nah, Muschamp was their man from the day Spurrier walked off a coward.

This makes Tom Herman look bad if true, not South Carolina.

Everyone keeps saying this guy is a member of Mensa, but I'd like to see some proof because I don't buy it.

First the Houston radio incident, and now this? The guy comes off as incredibly irrational. Maybe SC dodged a BSC bullet.

I could see Herman at LSU when/if he decides to move on.

He would do well there.
