Because our old AD sucked and the donors thought Kim Anderson was a good idea.
The donors liked him because he was a long assistant under Norm Stewart and a former player/alum. I guess they also liked him because he had success at the division 2 level(lol).
The bottom line is that he's clearly in way over his head. He's a joke at the D-1 level.
Kim Anderson set a record for longest losing streak in Mizzou basketball history...TWICE!

13 game losing streak(2015)

He's well on his way to setting a new record this season.
I'm not 100% on this but I'm pretty sure he would also be setting a record for having back to back seasons of finishing last in the conference. I don't think Mizzou has ever done that before. If they did, it would have been well over 50 or 60 years ago.
