When this story first broke in late January, the response from Ole Miss fans was "Oh, these are mostly violations in women's basketball, and any of the football violations occurred before Coach Freeze got here."
Of the 28 violations alleged by the NCAA, 13 are in football. That's almost half.
According to the NCAA, nine of the 13 violations in football occurred under Freeze's watch. They're a mix of Level I, II and III; Level I are considered the most serious.
It'll be interesting to watch this play out. If I were a recruit (or the family of a recruit) signed by Ole Miss this year, I'd want some answers about this.

No more than a couple of scholarships lost for a couple years unless more comes out.

The NCAA is an old, worn out, toothless whore that can no longer command the respect of those seeking her favor. This is nothing but pomp and circumstance from the other five power brokers to remind Ole Miss not to be so blatant in their methods.
Nothing will befall Ole Miss outside the loss of a couple scholarships for a year or two. If you noticed, Ole Miss has already positioned itself for this sentence by undersigning the class.
Recent history has shown the NCAA to be as corrupt as the federal government.

Not so sure about that chief. Let's wait and see all the evidence etc. before we label this a slap on the wrist.

Wouldn't they have over signed if they were anticipating scholarship reductions?
