They don't. Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson were 2nd and 3rd respectively in TFLs and SKs but neither started a single game all year. Freshman All-American DB Minka Fitzpatrick doesn't count as a starter but stilled play a lot because Bama uses the sub packages often.
Returning starters is an overrated stat becuase teams rotate a lot of players on defense.

THANK YOU. LSU fans wouldn't get it with that joke of a head coach. He beats us? So what, we have been building and should have won the last two. Y'all do have talent. I'll give you that. More talent than anybody you play except bama, but miles still gets his turds pushed in by less talented teams
