One of Alabama's top recruits in this class made his official visit to Tuscaloosa over the weekend.

Christopher Allen, a four-star linebacker from Baton Rouge, La., has been committed to Alabama since Iron Bowl weekend in late November. He had Alabama as his leader for several months before that.

But, LSU isn't going down without a fight. Head coach Ed Orgeron has Allen a priority, which is especially important after LSU lost out to Alabama with five-star Baton Rouge native Dylan Moses.

"It was great," Allen told AL.com in a text message about his Alabama official. "I had a lot of fun every single hour of every single day. It was amazing."

But the 6-foot-4, 234-pound outside linebacker still hasn't shut the door to LSU, it seems.

"Solid," Allen said when asked about his commitment status with Alabama and if LSU still has a chance. "They still have a chance, though."

Allen said last month that he may give Colorado an official visit. It's unknown if that will still happen, but this will be one battle to watch as Signing Day nears.
