Film is more important to me than a camp setting performance. On film, and against better competition mind you, Sterling was fricking dominant. Conliffe? Meh.

I honestly have Sterling in my top 5 in this class based on film. I hate the idea of taking a kid based on potential rather than production. It's asinine.

I tend to agree. I like Sterling a lot. I do get the impression based on some things people have said that Conliffe is about to blow up his senior year in terms of performance.

One thing that Rodney Orr and DrewD have been consistent about even still is that there's a really high chance that we sign a Juco DL in the class, especially if we sign 5 at the position instead of 4. If we can't get Buggs, I'm not sure where we stand with Tart-Spencer and not sure who else emerges there. But it's something to keep an eye on looking forward.

Some things cant be taught. I watched conliffe film last week here is what I saw:

A dude with weak hands, lacking physicality, and worst of all takes questionable angles to the football. Looked like a player that would get mauled in the trenches vs sec lineman. Absolutely nothing about his game suggested Bama material imo. No mean streak/plays soft.

Folks are saying he has matured, or "the light has come on," but i'd have to see it to believe it.

Sterling > conliffe

Sterling on the other hand is about the exact opposite. Not sure how hes a 3 star.
