So there is a dude over on BOL who has a nephew that appears to be a SEC-level recruit. His name is Monty Rice out of Madison, AL (James Clemens). He was offered by USCe and Muschamp this weekend and this was their pitch to him:

quote:

“He told me not to be anyone's backup plan or second choice,” Rice said. “I know that South Carolina has a good reputation with them having Steve Spurrier for so long. So Gamecock fans are going to want to win now, not later, and I think Muschamp has the ability to do that.”

I wonder who this shot was directed towards?

Rice went on to say this:

quote:

“I am hearing from Alabama and Auburn a lot. Jeremy Pruitt invited me to their junior day on February 27. Mississippi State offered me recently, too. Kentucky, Louisville and some others have offered, too.”

Here are his profile and highlights:

How many times in a recruiting cycle do you think this is used against Alabama?
