Alabama commit Najee Harris, a 2017 five-star running back from Antioch (Calif.), is now rated the No. 1 overall player in the country by 247Sports.

Harris, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound back made the big jump from No. 6 to No. 1.

The UA commit had a huge junior season rushing for 2,744 yards and 36 touchdowns, averaging over a whopping 11 yards per carry.

Harris committed to Alabama during A-Day last April and since has only seen his stock rise with in-state programs like USC and UCLA, as well as other national powers like Notre Dame and Michigan, breathing down his neck for a flip.

The Golden State prospect is one of three top tier running backs committed to UA in the 2017 class joining four-stars Cam Akers and Brian Robinson.
