Sumlin bears a lot of responsibility for how Johnny developed while he was at aTm. But hey, it worked out great for Sumlin, so who really cares if someone's life was ruined. Right?

Some of this has merit but not quite to the hysterical sense you seek. JF was told numerous times to settle down, aTm was about to put a handler on JF when the PARENTS threatened a lawsuit against aTm for possible future damages to his character and draft stock. At that point Sumlin should have suspended JF at his next possible screw up but the way higher ups at TAMU were already going to bat for JF and his pay for signing crap saga. They wouldn't let Sumlin make them look foolish during that process. Plus they had huge donors backing JF and the new stadium was being planned. By that time the season had started and the family handler for JF was gone, aTm was managing him better and things were good. Sumlin does have some responsibility in this matter but it isn't quite to the extent you make it out, out side his addiction problem most of this lay at the feet of his parents. Just go back and read the Wright Thompson portrayal of events.

You are responsing to Randolph Duke, a disturbed individual who has attempted and failed spectacularly to disprove every A&M tradition.
