UGA just always found a way to drop a game they shouldn't or they'd have a rash of injuries derail their season. Pretty much this. It comes down to expectations. If you're expecting him to come in and in year 1 or 2 have you contending for the playoffs, you probably did too much coke. He should be able to bring da U back to a consistent level 9-10 wins, which realistically should be enough for you to challenge for the ACC most years in your division. Richt had mixed results in rivalry games and border wars. Great record against Auburn, and decent against Tennessee (though the majority of that was during their downtrend), but not good against Florida and ended up allowing SC to take more than their share out of that matchup.

The upside is, Miami is pretty easy to sell as a town, so you should be able to recruit some guys from up north that want to get the hell out of the snow. At that point, it comes down to showing that he can produce some results on the field to start keeping those Miami Dade boys in town rather than watching them go to the SEC. You'll know what you need to know after next year's recruiting class. Pay attention to who you're recruiting on the OL and DL... and who you land. If you end up racking up some talent along the LOS, he can do impressive things at Miami. If not, I'd assume he can be good but never great.
