In other industries, like insurance, you can carefully avoid adverse selection by forgoing immediate top-line results for a more stable base and better bottom-line a decade later. Coaches of teams like A&M don't have that luxury, so they have to be gamblers.

I feel like we let Sherman go this route, he just couldn't produce on the field, and wasn't a good fit moving forward to the SEC
