I think that just about everyone assumes when we entered the SEC, it would take at least three to four years for us to be competitive. Sumlin lead a team that has now competed every year, had a winning record every year and is consistently in the national conversation.

Sumlin is a good coach. He is a winning coach. The facts bear that out. Are we perfect and where I want to be? Hell no. It beats my initial expectations when first we entered the conference though.

We are recruiting well. It is true we had a down year this year, but I think that has more to do with some shady tactics from sippy than anything else. Next year all signs point to a better recruiting haul and I think the after another losing season, chuck will be out of Austin.

So those are some of the reasons why I support him. I think that he is a good, proven and focused coach. I don't get caught up in the rumor mills and bullshite that many of you do. I don't have to because I know what is true and what is conjecture and bullshite.

I also don't have a bruised pussy every time that an 18 year old kid makes a decision I don't agree with.

Sumlin has never won a title of any kind as a head coach.

Even in Conference USA, with Case Keenum, he went 0-2 in title games, including Houston's best team ever getting raped by Larry Fedora in the CUSA title game.

I think we all fear that.
