They take no accountability or responsibility for their product on a number of levels which have resulted in people getting hurt or killed.

People get injured and/or die in taxis so what is your point?

In the beginning stages it was great. There are some flaws for it, mostly from the driver side though. They're required to pay fees for every person they pick up. So if they pick someone up who wants to go .5 miles, they pay the same fee as if it was a 10 mile ride. It doesn't scale down at all which can make it not worth it for a lot of drivers.

Also, driver liability within Uber is not good. For example, if you're going to pick up a passenger and don't have anyone in your car and get in to an accident. You're not covered because you weren't technically working for Uber because you didn't have anyone in your car.
