I would agree. Back problems will almost always be a more lingering issue than a broken bone, whatever bone that may be. Thankfully, to this point, Tony hasn't missed many games because of it.

I'm probably being overly-defensive, but this is one thing that gets under my skin. Everyone likes to talk about how much Romo sucks and how injury prone he is, even though it couldn't be further from the truth.

The guy has put up fringe top 5 QB numbers in the league for the last 5-8 years. The problem in Dallas isn't Tony Romo, it has been the defense for the entire time he has been the starter there outside of the Parcell years when he was young. It just gets tiring to defend him, when he shouldn't have to be defended.

Trust me, Romo has given me my fair share of stomach ulcers watching the Cowboys play, but not giving him his due credit is wrong.

Spinal injuries are always a cause for concern. Look at Manning. I didn't mean to infer that Romo wasn't durable in the traditional sense. Only that disc problems seem to be a residual issue for most. And one would want a capable backup in the stable in the event it rears its ugly head again.

Dak's toughness has impressed me. And I do think he has a stalwart stature and frame, and he is tougher to take down than Romo. Dak is an extremely strong kid. In all fairness to Romo, I don't think he has the size nor strength of Dak. And the Cowboys could potentially use that kind of QB in precision and/or jumbo packages. So, he could conceivably get some early playtime in Big D.
