No one knew it would be this good. Saban's status wasn't that much higher than RichRod's at the time. Oh man.

Not in my wildest dreams. People forget, Saban was a master recruiter, but he I anticipated having elite NFL players, average 9-3 or 10-2, stop losing to Auburn and LSU every year and win an SEC title at some point.
The idea that we would average 12 wins a year, win half the national titles over his tenure and be what we are was.....not even in my wildest dreams.
