Sorry, but it is not true. They spend a boat load of money every 3 years or so and get 3 or 4 big name recruits. They fill the rest of the team with trash players that nobody else wanted. They have zero depth and coach Bucky Beaver doesn't have a clue how to coach a running game. They will never be a serious contender for a championship.

Well, I suggest you should check your facts on the depth of class issue.

As far as championships, you might be right. But you need to be able to better than 5-11 against your two main rivals over the past 8 years, or neither will you.

They were a serious contender THIS year. They beat Bama and LSU and came within a fourth down and about 25 yards to go conversion by Arkansas from winning the West. I call that "Serious Contention".
