Sept. 1: @ Vanderbilt
Sept. 10: @ Miss State
Sept. 17: East Carolina
Sept. 24: @ Kentucky

Oct. 29: Tennessee
Nov. 5: Missouri
Nov. 12: @ Florida
Nov. 19: Western Carolina
Nov. 26: @ Clemson
Not the hardest schedule for next season. Dumpster fires for Texas A&M and Mizzou, and UF is losing a ton from their defense and still have QB issues. Easy OOC schedule minus Clemson.
It could be the perfect starter-season for the new Muschamp staff to get off on the right foot, have a winning season and make a bowl game. Which would do wonders for their recruiting efforts to show they have the program upwardly moving.
Last season as bad as USC was, we lost to UK by 4, to Texas A&M by 7, to UT by 3, to the damn Citadel by 1, and to Clemson by 5. The biggest issue was defense again. If Muschamp can do the one thing he's always proven he can do - improve the defense - with this schedule perhaps some good things could happen.
I say buy....

Short ahead of the Muschamp hire, then clear the short a few weeks later.
Buy to hold now the stock has reset at a lower level.

Buy the stock and hold for 2 years then sell it and go short. Muschamp will do better for awhile. It's hard to do worse. But then it all falls apart.

Moron if you wouldn't buy. It can't get much worse than 3 wins for us.

It depends. Do they have $180,000 laying around to pay for a QB?

Me, too. You came terrifyingly close, in y'alls own opinion, to losing to our 3 win team last yr. Your program is falling apart as we continue to watch. We will be much improved and you come to Cola to play a reenergized program regardless of the opinion of Muschamp.
This is gonna be fun. For us, at least.
ETA: McIlwain was a steal. Dual threat qb that won the elite 11 and what-not. Not to even mention he turned down $2 mill to play pro baseball to come to SCar to be our qb and on our baseball team. 4* with 2 more 4*s sitting the bench right behind him. What a terrible problem to have, Bench.

That first game is such a big one for both Muschamp & Mason.

Gotta sell. Muschamp has to be the worst players coach in the country. Dude pushes out a hemorrhoid daily over his toast being burnt. Just looks like an arse

Depends on when I bought my shares.
If I bought them back when Lou Holtz was going 0-11 I probably continue to hold onto them because they'll get a little better under Muschamp. Though I am kicking myself for not selling at the peak of the Spurrier era because I don't think they get back to that level of success for a long time.
If I bought them at the peak of the Spurrier era then I am just dumb and should just sell them and take my loss because I'm screwed.
If I didn't have any shares I wouldn't buy right now because I think it will stay pretty close to the same 5-7 wins before it tanks again one more time later in Muschamps tenure and I'd scoop up some stock then. He'll get he talent back up to a decent level and they'll hopefully be able to get a better coach the next go around.

This. In all seriousness, that 4-year run is the only thing keeping them from being a sub-.500 program all-time. Muschamp was able to recruit well at Florida, but couldn't find a quarterback capable of a forward pass. If they have some kind of offense, I'd say they're on the upswing. The defense will probably be at least decent when he gets some of his players involved

I'd say this is a fair assessment. Muschamp has proven he can recruit and has had some of the best Defenses in the country while he was at Florida. Roper is admittedly a question mark but with only 1 year to install an offense and a crap load of injuries I really don't know what to make of his time at UF. He did get some quality play out of his Duke offense.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves.
Even in a bad offseason for us, with a lot of bad news, and a great offseason for yall, with a ton of recruiting momentum, we will sign a better class on NSD than South Carolina. Oh and we just had an 8 win season and we return a lot of the contributors to that team. It's just that for us that is kinda a letdown.
I mean I don't want to beat my chest about beating yall because you hired a coach that has our number, but our program is in much better shape right now.
