HOnestly I was just randomly watching UAB vs UK in the early 2000s as a young lad, when UAB pulled off the upset. I remember the backwards pass from the twin players and the croud going crazy. I fell in love with basketball right than . UK went down and a little school from alabama went to the sweet 16.
I then joined my middle school basketball team haha

as long as I've watched sports.
first great game I saw was when I was 7 and went to the 92 sec tourney. the Alabama-Arkansas semifinal where Eliot Washington hit the 3 at the buzzer to beat Arkansas. 6 future first rounders on the floor: Sprewell, Horry, Robinson, Day, Miller, and Mayberry. Met Wimp, Sprewell, and Horry after the game. With the game in B'ham, the Washington winner at the buzzer brought the fricking house down. Then Mashburn and UK destroyed us the next day.
It's also worth noting that that same year was the one was the LSU-Tennessee game with the bench clearing brawl starting after the hard foul on Shaq. Got Dale Brown thrown out of the game. It was an epic time at the BJCC that year.

Probably since I was 7, 8, or 9. One of my cousins played with Bobby Lee Hurt at Butler High School in Huntsville, AL, and I used to go watch them practice all the time and Bobby Lee would put me on his shoulders so I could dunk. Started watching college ball when he went to Alabama so I could watch him play.
People used to look at me funny because I have always been an Auburn football fan, but my favorite basketball team growing up was Bama; until Wimp retired anyways.

I remember going to watch Mule King and Bama in the NIT against UVA in BJCC.
I went to Ttown to watch Oliver Robinson and UAB beat KY in about 1980 or so
First AU game was when I was a student.

I started around '94. My parents are UK alumns and pitino was creating something special.
I didn't start watching A&M basketball until '05 when I got onto campus and even then, couldn't figure out why people were wearing NIT t-shirts during basketball season. It was embarrassing.

What is the "College Basketball" that you speak of?

UCLA and Lewis Alcindor. John Wooden will never be matched, the Wizard of Westwood was genius leader and motivator.
Stopped when tournament expanded past 64. The game is garbage now.

Probably at birth.
I grew up going to Barnhill Arena and most all the home games. I remember my grandfather having ear muffs for my ears when we went. That place was as loud as any in the country.

My parents started taking me to UK games when I was pretty young, 4-ish in the mid 80s. My first real memories of games were probably from 90-91 when Pitino first came on board.
