1. Texas - hard to argue with this
2. Tennessee - beautiful place
3. Georgia - ATL is the most overrated big city in the world, but they have commerce
4. South Carolina - at their interstates (fwiw, Charleston and Columbia are very similar to BR and Nola except they're not
5. Florida - take the good (Orlando, Tampa, Miami, the new Jacksonville ) with the bad (St. Pete, Tallahassee, Gainesville)
6. Kentucky - going the way of Tobacco
7. Arkansas - I hear Little Rock is a nice place to live, and the city happens to be positioned well considering its distance from Dallas and OKC
8. Missouri - what a lame state...like St. Louis might be lamer than Cleveland, Ohio
9. Louisiana - say what you want, but we have more lagniappe than anyone else on this list. Other than that, our renters rates are overly inflated, we're dumb as frick (but so is everyone else in the south), but...we're happy!
10. Alabama - outside of Mobile, does Bama have a heartbeat??? Birmingham? Huntsville has the greatest economy, but they're all transplants...like a mini Atlanta
11. Mississippi - Gulf coast area is legit. If you don't think so, you need to visit. They're booming down here.

I see you've haven't been to St. Pete in a while. That place has changed a ton and is really nice.

This thread is stupid though because there are places in every state that I could love or learn to love.
