They're different kinds of impressive. The FSU years are from 1987 to 2000. It's an extremely impressive resume for that time period. We frequently had one loss seasons where the only loss came against the National Champion. Most of the losses during those years came to teams who finished in the top 5.
That said... we only produced two championships during those years. On some level, it feels like we were good like the Buffalo Bills from 1990-1993. Great year in, year out performances, but just missing (frequently wide right) winning it all.
I think, as of now, the FSU streak is the most impressive "long" dynasty; however, Alabama's is much more impressive in terms of performance over a shorter period of time. It's also ongoing.
I also think that in terms of the CFB environment, what Alabama has accomplished is perhaps the most impressive thing in CFB history. Recruiting has changed so much and teams that were never on the radar for recruits are now.
