OP is right. The biggest advantage is Bama's DL. They will make it extremely difficult to move the ball.

Tennessee gave them a hell of a time with their running QB.

Tennessee's running QB completed 13 passes in 22 attempts and had 180 yards of total offense (171 passing, 19 rushing on 14 attempts). The entire team managed 303 and scored a whopping 14 points.

Granted, that's a decent performance against this Bama defense but the truth is the game was close because Bama's two first and goal possessions ended in field goals and Coker threw a pick inside the UT 20.

Dobbs gave them very little trouble at all.

Bama1959 is right. Clemson can't handle the Bama D Line.

Because Bradley Roby didn't play and neither did half the D. You never have the opportunity to play Ohio State when they are good, because you are usually playing in the Russell Athletic Bowl.

Correct me if I'm wrong but did you actually say that outside of Ohio St and Michigan nobody else has the athleticism to match up with the SEC?

quote:

First off, the SEC is the best conference in college football. Outside of Ohio State and Michigan, the other teams do not have the overall athleticism to matchup. Alabama's schedule in the SEC west is an absolute gauntlet.

Is that what I'm reading here?

First of all who is included in "SEC"? Are you including Arkansas, Miss St., Texas A&M, Auburn and pretty much the entire SEC least because all those teams are average at best....

B. When was the last time Michigan was relevant?

12-1 with the worst statistical defense in the history of Ohio state and they suspended 6 starters. You are dense at best. I can see you are a clemson grad.

I agree with your point to the Clemson fan. Yeah Watkins went off against OSU and yet the Buckeyes had the lead with two minutes left. They make it sound like OSU was getting rolled all night. What a bunch of shite. OSU's pass coverage was monumentally bad that season. Hell Pop Warner teams could have passed all over them. That loss to Clemson was the best thing for OSU because the next year they won the playoff. Lockdown secondary made amazing strides in one year.
