I'd first like to start by saying this is my unbiased opinion of the game. I'm actually an Ohio State fan looking at both of these teams honestly.

First off, the SEC is the best conference in college football. Outside of Ohio State and Michigan, the other teams do not have the overall athleticism to matchup. Alabama's schedule in the SEC west is an absolute gauntlet.

When looking at this matchup, Clemson is so overrated it isn't even funny. Clemson's big wins have all been big bowl flops. UNC ran out of the stadium with 645 baylor rushing yards, Ohio State ramming Notre Dame as always (notre dame have clemson their number 1 ranking), and florida state got beat by Houston. Baylor, Ohio State, and Houston all beat Clemson's pretend "top 10" teams worse then Clemson. Clemson then goes and beats an Oklahoma team that has not beat a ranked opponent with their starting QB this year.

Now, look at Alabama's schedule and how they fared in bowls. Outside of the Florida debacle against Michigan, Alabama played Ole Miss, LSU, Miss St, etc. These teams absolutely waxed Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, etc., that would've been considered "top 10" teams if they played Clemson's ACC schedule. Not to mention, Alabama beating Michigan state into the ground, who was nowhere near the best team alabama played this season, but would've made a run in the ACC.

Look at recruiting - the best two recruiting teams in the last 4 years have been 1. Alabama 2. Ohio State............15. Clemson

This means Clemson's depth is lacking to say the least. They are going to ride Watson because they do not have a deep complete team along the line of scrimmage like the experts say. Alabama will wear this team out.

Prediction - The Tide will come out and only have to rush 4 or 5 to get to the QB and stop the run. Clemson has seen nothing even close to Alabama all year. The Alabama physicality will wear them out, and the skill players are actually better at Alabama than Clemson with the exception of the QB. This game will be the opposite of Oklahoma vs Clemson, but with Clemson being this weeks Oklahoma. Watson must run for his life to win. Alabama will contain with 4 or 5 and a QB spy dropping everyone into coverage. The Tide is bigger, faster, and stronger.

Score:

Bama 38
Tigers 21

Roll Tide Roll!

Unbiased my arse..You are still pissed from the Orange Bowl loss where Braxton Miller looked like a rag in a dogs mouth against Clemson's defense...

I dont know man. A running QB has been the Bama D's only weakness (excluding Ole Miss game). Tennessee gave them a hell of a time with their running QB. Although Bama is playing alot better now than they were mid season. I think it will be closer than most people anticipate.

False - Ohio State suspended Half the D for that game and had to pull redshirts off of guys that never played before, because they had no one left. Not to mention Ohio State was coming off ncaa suspension.
Clemson is a joke, you will soon see.

No they didn't. He had a couple of nice runs early in the game, but was pretty ineffective running the ball the last 3 quarters.

Datnolaclap:

Alabama did not utilize all their skill players most of the year because they don't have to to win games. Tennessee has recruited as well as clemson. The ole miss loss is due to fluke turnovers.

All i know is.... that his 92 yards were good enough to give Tennessee an opportunity to win in the final minutes. If not for a sack fumble the outcome of the game could have been different, as Tennessee drove down the field and scored fairly easily their previous possession. I think Clemson will find a way to put up points, but the question will be if they can slow down Henry enough to get the W.

I think it will be a closer game than that and that we will have trouble hitting 38, but I think that is a pretty solid overview of things.

Good post Yank, well done

Tennessee gave us a hell of a time because our offense was in the shitter (and they played a good defensive ballgame) and we didn't convert in the red zone.

They scored 14 pts and had 303 yards total offense. Dobbs went 13/22 for 171 and 1 TD and ran for 19 yards. He wasn't bad, but he certainly didn't "give us trouble".
