2008-2017 is building to be among the best.

The fact that three of these stretches simultaneously occurred in the 70's is impressive. Talk about some unstoppable forces

Ole Miss had a great six-year run from 1958-63. They were actually pretty good from '58-'70.

Why would you pick 2001-2010 as LSU's 10 year period? Why not 2002-2011, which would include another SEC championship?
Aside from that, dumb thread is dumb.

Once 2006 and 2007 roll off
2008-2017 is going to be the best 10 year stretch a college program ever had.

You know this can't be right. Tennessee with an 80% winning percentage over 10 years? Impossible, according to this website. Why, we're one of the sorriest, most bankrupt programs in the country. Better re-calculate!

You left off the Horns. 119-24 record (.83) from 1999-2009. Played in the 2 national championships, won one. Played in 2 BCS bowls (fiesta and rose), won both.
I know USC had like a .001 percent better record over that time but we beat them head to head in the greatest game of all time so tie goes to victor.
Seems like a long time ago.
At least the aggy program has kept us entertained of late. Glad to see they continue to represent themselves as they truly are in other conferences. We appreciate you taking them.

it is even more incredible when you look at the overlaps and especially overlaps involving teams that are in the same conference or that play every year. Imagine Florida or Florida State if they were in different decades or didn't have to face each other. They cost each other at least 4 titles in the 90's. And then you throw in Nebraska in the 90's and all three played each other costing each other more titles. And, Florida had to also contend with Tennessee, which made the list, half that decade as well.
It shows you how incredible Bobby Bowden and Steve Spurrier were in the 90's, and only one of those guys played an SEC schedule while the other guy openly admitted running from the SEC.
Meanwhile, how many times did Alabama, OK, and SC play each other in the 70's??

Instead of the "Goal Line Stand," Oklahoma vs Alabama following the 1978 season would have been off the charts.
