I never though the SEC was down.

I feel more teams are getting better.

Of course some teams will have struggles here and there, but overall the SEC is getting better on each team.

Favorable bowl match ups IMO

No one will agree but the ohio state not winning the big 10 shifted all their teams in bowl matchups. Ohio st was the best team in that league

I was down after the loss to Alabama and Arkansas. Not taking the loss to Ole Miss too bad since I was gone lol

I don't think the conference as a whole was down. I think it is a matter of good teams beating up on one another, while other conferences might have had 1-2 good teams that beat on the others to finish with EXCELLENT records (see Iowa and Michigan State).

Luckily Missouri declined a bid so we weren't 8-3

The conference was down this year. More bad teams than last year. Fewer top 25 teams. Lower average quality.

This is going by F/+, which I think is the best metric out there.

It was still the best conference by a healthy margin.

In the rankings we sucked this year. Got to correct that next year.

I knew it wasn't down. There are teams from other conference that can hang with the conference. When Arkansas and Ole Miss lost out of the power 5 , that gave anti SEC people some fuel. I think this dominance will keep them quiet for awhile.
