What will the general opinion be if UGA goes 8-5 in 2016?

All fanbases.
But obviously curious about the UGA posters opinions.
This is not a troll and IMO it'd be VERY difficult (with the roster alone you guys have) to lose 5 games. Stranger things... I guess.

Them firing Richt this year shows that it's gotta be 10+ wins or bust from here on out.

Same as every year. Decent program
But relevancy is extremely overrated

5 losses is never, at any point in time, something to celebrate. So obviously we'd be unhappy.
But being realistic, we have a brand new coachign staff that has to install brand new schemes and terminology on both sides of the ball. We have a TFR at QB, lost out best WR, no clue if chubb will be 100%, and lose some good guys on D as well. Plus we open with UNC instead of a cupcake.
I think 8-4 regular season is fairly realistic. Hell, richt went 8-4 his first year then 13-1 the next. It will be impossible to judge kirby based on next year.
I think most of us are more concerned next season with how we look in the games, win or lose. No blowouts would be a nice change.

Brand new coaching staff with a true freshman QB? No worse than what Lyle has managed to this point at Tennessee and they keep giving that douchebag raises

8-5 is kind of what I expect, 7-9 wins seems about right.

Not ecstatic but not pissed. UGA just ripped off the bandaid

I will be pissed if we lose 5 games next year.
Hell, I get pissed off every time we lose a game every year.
but not ready to fire Kirby or start thinking we made a mistake. Even if CMR does better at Mia - it was time for a change

Kind of a stupid question to be asking at this point don't ya think? Chubb gonna play? Or is he gonna go out for the season in fall camp? Until we see what any team has it's foolish to speculate.

Depends on how the losses occur, who our qb is, if injuries and other bad luck were involved.

If Georgia goes 10-2 or 11-1 next season, it's because Nick Chubb regained his Heisman caliber form. Otherwise, I'm not seeing any way to it to be honest. The offense other than Chubb, Michel, Godwin, and Blazevich is at least a one season full rebuild (maybe McKenzie surprises me, but he hasn't shown he can be much more than a short pass speed threat in big time CFB).
And I'm predicting 9-3 or 8-4 straight up. I knew that the 2016 season was transitional regardless of who was HC, but if Georgia is not back in the SECCG in 2017 or 2018, what was really the point of the coaching change? Those teams should have even more talent than the 2012 team that went to the SECCG.

With a change sometimes you end up taking a step back before moving forward.
8-5 wouldn't be a biggie if it's clear they're resetting the program for bigger things.

Georgia should have 6 easy wins next year even with a freshman QB and no Chubb. With that being said if we can't at least split the 6 other games considering they all should be pickem's then I will consider Kirby's first year to be a failure.

I for one am optimistic next year. Anything less than 9 wins would be a huge disappointment to me.
