Penn Station is easily the best sandwich chain. Firehouse and Jersey Mikes round out my top three.

For chains, it's not even close. Publix destroys the competition. Full Boar's Head deli meat and cheese selection. Chicken that's cut, breaded and fried in house. Best quality toppings you'll find anywhere. Bread made from scratch and baked in an actual bakery daily.

I don't find that any of the major chain sandwich places really stand out as head and shoulders above the rest.
Blimpy's is simply the worst. I have never once eaten food from there and not been completely disappointed.
Subway is mediocre in quality as well as super stingy with meat.
Quiznos has some really good stuff, but their steak tastes funny. Their bread, though, is only one notch better than Blimpy's.
Jimmy Johns has that great delivery service, but the lack of hot sandwiches keeps them from being near the top. They are also pretty limited when it comes to potential toppings and sauces.
Which Which is great for customize-ability, but it comes with a price tag.
