If a player comes back next year who was ejected for targeting in the second half of their bowl game, do they have to sit out the first half of the next year's season opener? A guy from UNC just got ejected and made me think of it. Anybody know about this?

FWIW, they open with UGA next season and he is a junior WR, so there is an SEC tie-in.

"If the foul occurs in the second half of the last game
of the season, players with remaining eligibility shall serve the suspension
during the first game of the following season."
