it's a very slippery slope. The hope is that by being forthright you will catch some slack by teh NCAA, which we probably haven't.

However, if there's one thing the NCAA hates worse than rule breaking, it's being lied to. Dez Bryant was a potential heisman candidate in 09 but had to miss the season because he lied about simply having lunch with deion sanders. Teams like auburn and aTm were really playing with fire by fighting tooth and nail to lie and cover things up, but hey it worked. Thing is though that if something were to happen and they slipped up and got caught, they'd be in big big trouble.
